Summary about Natural Approach

Natural Approach:
This approach was development by Krashen Stephen and Tracy Terrel in 1977.
The essence of language is meaning, when the vocabulary is the heart of language.

Characteristics:
-second language development: Acquisition as a natural subconscious process
-learning as a conscious process.
-Conscious learning works through a monitor that checks of output of what has ben acquired.
-Grammatical structures are acquired in a predictable order.
-the communicative activities and topics are selected from learner needs.
-The activities learner's involve meaningful commnunication.
-The teacher is the primary source of comprehensible input, and must create positive low anxiety climate.
-It is designed to give beginners and intermediate learners basic communicative skills

THRID SUMMARY

IN OUR THIRD SESSION OF APPLIED LINGUISTICS CLASS WE SEE THREE THEORIES ABOUT HOW ACQUIRE THE LEARNING:
1. – BEHAVOURISM: The learning takes place as the result of a response that follows on a stimulus. The learners is seen how passive. Objectives and Classes are predetermined by the educator.
2. – COGNITIVISM: This theory take Individuals are actively involved in the learning process. The Learning is a process of relating new information to previously learned information.
3. - CONSTRUCTIVISM: the learner is active in the learning process. He/she has in constant interchanges with the teacher of creating ("constructing") new meanings.

Second Summary

In second Applied Linguistic'c class the teacher Liliana talked us about Applied Linguistcs how a multidisciplinary science.That is, Applied Linguistics use several sciences in order to solve any language problems such as Antropology, Sociolinguistics, Etnography and so on. Then, we made an activity in pair where we defined each one of these sciences and we disscused it.Finally the teacher assigned a forum where we should say which science could solve a described problems in this forum. For the next class we should read about teaching and learning.

SUMMARY OF APPLIED LINGUISTIC'S CLASS

The applied Linguistic's teacher is Liliana Buitrago, she gave us the subject (Instructional plan), goals, VLE (Virtual Learning Enviroment), Evaluation Plan and learnig tools. In this aspect, we must create a blog in order to interact with partners and teacher. Also we must participate in a forum about procrastinating. This assigment is very interestig and important because we can learn about several language problems.
